Visual & Product Designer
Starting out as a freelance visual designer, my journey began with bringing creative ideas to life through branding and design. Alongside my engineering studies, expanding into product design projects allowed for a perfect blend of technical execution and interactive experiences. Outside of designing and studying, streaming on Twitch under the Hungry Little Artist persona has become a way to create content, share the creative process, and build a community around making playful, imaginative things.
Lightwell B.V.
2026
Product Designer
Following a great third-year internship, Lightwell asked me to stay through the summer as a freelancer instead of an intern. It was amazing to leave such a positive impression and get that kind of opportunity. Stepping away from the strict school curriculum felt incredibly freeing. In this role, I kept developing new retrofits while also helping shape an upcoming product launch by completely driving the website development and branding, pulling from my visual designer background.

Minor: Business
During my entrepreneurship minor, I built a completely new business concept for a physical product from scratch within five months. The project is called Modocore: a modular desk accessory inspired by a bento box, specifically designed to appeal to gamers and creatives. To bring this idea to life, I conducted market research through potential customer interviews, wrote a comprehensive business plan, maintained a detailed logbook, and built the entire branding. This groundwork ensures Modocore is ready for a future market launch, and the entire project was successfully completed with a grade of 8.2.

Bachelor of Engineering: Product Design
Choosing this program was the perfect next step to combine my creativity with my growing technical skills and passion for 3D modeling. Diving into advanced engineering and design disciplines allowed me to discover new strengths, which was officially proven by earning my Propedeuse degree. The study focuses heavily on practical development phases like sketching, quick iteration, analyzing user requirements, testing strength and stiffness, and driving sustainable innovation. Learning to balance all these different areas has sharpened my technical mindset and taught me how to look at the bigger picture when developing a product from start to finish.

mbo 2: Security Officer
Despite already holding an MBO level 4 diploma, I made the conscious decision to pursue this airport security program to break away from traditional routines, seeking a more dynamic environment, genuine human interaction, and a role with a direct impact. Simultaneously working as an Aviation Security Officer at Schiphol Airport sharpened my situational awareness, analytical skills like X-ray screening and profiling, and my ability to manage high-pressure situations. Furthermore, handling daily interactions with hundreds of diverse individuals significantly enhanced my communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. Ultimately, successfully balancing this demanding work-study track within a single year proved to be a pivotal stepping stone that refueled my drive and ambition, making it clear that I am ready to challenge myself at a higher intellectual level through a Bachelor’s degree (HBO).

mbo 4: Media & Editorial
Throughout this study, I significantly developed my cross-media skills by gaining hands-on experience through diverse projects, focusing particularly on filming, AV production, editing, magazine creation, branding, social media strategy, and web design. Driven to look beyond the standard curriculum, I independently dived deeper into technical and creative fields, teaching myself coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and C#, alongside animation and 3D modeling. This self-driven exploration ultimately sparked my passion for responsive environments and moving imagery, combining technical execution with strategic design.

havo: Cultuur & Maatschappij
This is where I built my creative foundation. In these early years I discovered my natural talent for the arts and expanded my expressive side by actively participating in visual arts, drama classes, and the school band. These early experiences taught me how to think outside the box and translate abstract ideas into clear visual insights.
